Spent 2 nights at the falcon hotel a couple of weeks ago, what a great find. Excellent hotel, lovely room, very clean and had everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and attentive. It was my birthday and they really went the extra mile. We will go back and we highly recommend

Amazing Sunday Roast here today, what really made it though was how attentive and knowledgeable the staff were. From wines served to showing us around the hotel. We will definitely be returning 5*

Good value hotel, well placed in the town. Quite a small car park but they reimburse cost of P&D next door. All of the staff (and there are plenty of them) were clearly well trained and very attentive at all times. Check in staff were very welcoming and efficient and helped with our luggage. We dined in the hotel both nights and had an enjoyable meal each time. The menu wasn't that extensive, but food good. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order not the usual buffet bun fight. Room was very comfortable with all usual features. Very comfortable bed with loads of pillows. Shower very good indeed. Altogether a very good stay.

We booked a table for 4 for lunch. Parking was a big problem. The service was very friendly, but that was where the positive experience ended. We chose from the main menu, which was small. The starters were OK, but the main courses were poor quality and expensive. The salmon fillet was the smallest I have ever been served, overcooked and dry. But what really ruined the food was the amount of salt used. This was for all the choices. The vegetables served with the main courses were a pile of peas and a tiny amount of wilted spinach. When we asked for more vegetables, a small dish with overcooked, unappetising broccoli, sprouts and we think, parsnips arrived. When the limited dessert menu was brought, the 2 different desserts we ordered, were unavailable. Overall, a restaurant we will not visit again.

We stayed 4 nights for our son's wedding. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The food was exceptional. The rooms are comfy and the entire day went smoothly. A great venue for a wedding.

We had the most amazing wedding at this lovely venue. It felt like home, and we had such a warm, intimate wedding thanks to this gorgeous location. The staff were very attentive and helped us in huge amounts throughout the whole planning process and had a real eye for detail on the wedding day. I would highly recommend this place as a place to get married!

We celebrated our wedding day at the Falcon Hotel yesterday and what an incredible day it was! We first visited the venue 2 years ago and knew instantly that it was the venue for us. The staff are amazing and couldn't do enough for us, they made us feel like part of their family. A special mention to Lily and Anjali who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and supported us through all the planning and details.

Such a quaint little town. The hotel room was clean and had everything we needed, and the staff were really polite. Great connection with the the restaurants so finding somewhere to eat was easy.

A fabulous setting, and should be the place to go in Uppingham. Always plenty of staff on, though there’s usually a bit of a wait to get your drinks. Coffee is absolutely horrendous - I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it multiple times, it got worse.

Room - Fabulous Food - Delicious Service - Excellent Short 3 night stay - cannot recommend this place highly enough. In a word - Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (for meaning, google or watch Mary Poppins). The family room was excellent - spacious and had everything including space which is something that as parents with an adult daughter with learning disabilities is all too often sadly missing. Add to that, the staff were all great with her (and us). Loved the area and did we say the accommodation was first class? s So, rest assured, we will be back! Thank you for an excellent stay.

Where do we even start with our experience at the Falcon Hotel! There are just not enough words to express how brilliant they are and how fantastic our day was. We started organising our wedding in April 2023, and from our first interaction with Lily and the team we knew the Falcon was the one. We loved the venue and how it felt like home from home and we loved how attentive and wonderful each and every staff member was. Lily in particular was an absolute pleasure, we got on straight away in our consultation and nothing was to much to ask, even in the early stages! Lily was on the ball all the time, keeping us on track for organising things for the day and always having the answers to even the silly questions! Communication between us and the hotel was a dream, they were always on hand to help or advice. This took a lot of the stress of planning a wedding away. Before we knew it we were sitting in the Tap Bar enjoying our trial meal for our big day! We knew the food was good, by my god it was good, we knew then without a shadow of a doubt we had chosen the right venue for us. Even sitting there we loved the relaxed vibe of the hotel and we were made to feel so welcome and special! 2 weeks before the wedding we had our final meeting before the big day, where again Lily and the team made us feel so at ease and ensured any last items to organise were completed. We walked into this thinking we needed to be ensuring things were running on the day as we planned - greeting our entertainment, organising the cake cutting and directing suppliers but we were so wrong. Lily did all of this for us, it was such a relief to be told 'just turn up, we will do the rest'. So thats what we did, we just turned up and the rest is history. Our day went without a hitch and we were made to feel like royalty. Even guests that arrived the day before were given 5 star treatment. The staff were there to greet us and whisk us away to our wedding breakfast room. Everything had been laid out exactly how we wanted. We cannot stress enough how much Lily and the staff went above and beyond for us! They even went to the shops during our meal to pick up a peach puree to make a peach bellini for the bride! Just awesome and so thoughtful! The wedding reception went like clock work too, Lily and all the staff were always on hand and available for help. The food for the evening was also stunning, we received so many compliments on it, people were blown away by its quality! The rooms were absolutely spotless and extremely comfortable with little luxuries thrown in for good measure. We honestly cannot fault our time at the Falcon, our wedding was everything we wanted and more. We would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thank you Lily, you were exemplary in every way and thank you to the Falcon, you have created a memory for us that we will cherish forever!

I have never stayed here but have had drinks on their patio area several times. This is really nice in the summer ☀️ with sun and shade. Good service and quite quiet. I would recommend it.

Fantastic place to stay in a beautiful part of the countryside. Rooms were big and clean, the food and service were awesome. We even booked the function room.

Really pleased to see an extensive and good vegetarian/vegan menu. We ordered veggie tarte-tatin but sweet potato crisps never turned up, real shame (therefore service only 3 star).

Went on the off chance for lunch. The food was extremely salty and the parsnips too sweet. I know that they were honey roasted but too much was used. Not good value for money totally ruined by over seasoning

Loved this hotel. Did a winter wedding here and such a fabulous place inside and out. The front which overlooks the market and garden at the back both perfect for backdrop while we did the photographs. The couple had an intimate dinner with close friends and family and the room was just gorgeous. Staff were super friendly and so helpful. Want to come back! Just beautiful and highly recommend!

Afternoon tea on a Monday afternoon - beautiful food arrived after just a little too long a wait. It was worth it though. £20 a head so not cheap but superb quality.
